PAYMENTS
RATES, DEPOSITS & BALANCES

Single-day hunts require payment in full to reserve your trip date(s).

Any multi-day trip booked within 30 days of the trip date must pay 100% of the trip cost to reserve your dates.

Multi-day trips booked more than 30 days from the trip date require a 50% deposit to reserve your dates. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the trip start date.

The only time a complete refund will be granted is if the Southern Upland Outfitters team needs to cancel a trip due to a mistake we may have made.

The remaining balance is automatically charged the day before your trip.

IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER
WEATHER POLICY

Virginia's weather is as beautiful as it can be fickle. All weather calls are made at your guide's discretion. It's our priority to ensure every client has a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience with us. We will be in contact with you as soon as we can accurately make a call on the weather forecast.

If bad weather, less-than-ideal hunting conditions threaten your trip, we have two options:

1) PIVOT TO A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE
We may be able to pivot to a different experience or species, as long as the conditions are safe. If you're here on vacation, we want to help you make the most out of it! Some experiences may cost more than others. We'll review all options with you leading up to your trip.

2) RESCHEDULE YOUR TRIP
We can reschedule your booking to another date without forfeiting your deposit. This can be another date the same year or another date the next year.

IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE
RESCHEDULE POLICY

We get it, things come up! All requests to reschedule your trip are handled on a case-by-case basis and considered at the discretion of the owner and your guide. If you need to reschedule your trip, contact us ASAP.

All updates to scheduling must be made at least 30 days prior to your trip date for your deposit to apply to your remaining trip balance.

If you need to reschedule within 14 days of your scheduled trip, your deposit will be considered forfeit and you will be required to pay the full amount for your rescheduled date.

IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL
CANCELLATION POLICY

If you feel you need to cancel your trip, please contact us ASAP to go over your options.

If you need to cancel, you will have one calendar year from your original trip start date to rebook a trip for an equal dollar amount. We only allow one reschedule of your original trip date. If, for any reason, you need to cancel the rescheduled trip date, your deposit is considered forfeit, and you will be required to book another trip.

If you cancel within 14 days of your scheduled trip, your deposit will be considered forfeit, and you will be required to pay the full amount for a new booking. We are typically not able to fill a new trip in such a short time.

For cancellations 30 days before your trip, you can rebook another date, but you are required to pay in full for your original booking.

Rescheduled bookings from cancelled trips may not be transferred to other experiences (i.e., rescheduling a full-day to a half-day hunting trip). We will only accommodate rescheduling your original trip type to another date.

Rates are subject to change, and any difference in the balance due on your trip will be billed accordingly. For instance, if the cost of lodging goes up before you reschedule your cancelled trip, you may incur an additional charge for the difference in the cost of your original trip.
